My brand new solo show. Adapted from my memoir-in-progress, my show is about complex grief when all you have to keep you going in Aldi whisky. When grief is about unpacking your whole damn life. There’s laughing and there’s crying. Not much in between.
Developed through the Make Your Fringe Show Workshops at the West End Playhouse in Morecambe for the Bay Fringe Festival, my show premiered in Montreal as part of the International Cultic Studies Conference in July 2025. I then had two sell out shows at the Bay Fringe Festival and won ‘Best Local Theatre’ Award. My next performance is on the 18th October as part of Lancaster Litfest Autumn Weekender. I’m planning to develop my show alongside my memoir and take it on tour.
The Lancashire Post reviewed it as: ‘The first sell out show of the fringe, Lambert invites us to join her as she processes her bizarre experiences growing up under the Jehovah’s Witnesses, through a passionate and gripping piece of theatre. This piece offers a fascinating insight into life as a carer and under a high control religious group…’ 5/5.
